Erik J. Overberger

ERIK J. OVERBERGER received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude, from Ohio University in 1996 and his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Capital University Law School in 2000. Mr. Overberger is a member of the Ohio bar and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Overberger is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Cleveland Intellectual Property Association.

Mr. Overberger has worked extensively in the mechanical and electrical/software arts. In particular, Mr. Overberger has experience with a wide array of automotive systems, components and manufacturing technologies; electro-mechanical systems including injection molding and welding equipment; printer and copier technologies including digital image processing and xerography; and many software oriented applications. His practice is primarily focused on preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent and trademark applications, and additionally domestic and foreign counseling on all aspects of patents and trademarks. Mr. Overberger also provides legal opinions involving infringement, validity and patentability.
