MARK E. BANDY received his Bachelor of Science degree, in Chemical Engineering, with honors, from Michigan Technological University in 1985, his Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1991, and an MBA from the University of Michigan in 1997. Mr. Bandy was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1991 and admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 1991. Mr. Bandy is also admitted before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Bandy is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and various alumni groups.
Mr. Bandy has extensive experience in all phases of intellectual property law with particular emphasis on patent prosecution, intellectual property licensing, client counseling matters including intellectual property audits, legal opinions involving infringement, validity, and patentability, trademark opposition proceedings, domain name disputes, patent portfolio assessment and valuations and competitor intellectual property assessments. Technical areas of interest include chemical and mechanical matters; polymers; welding; metallurgy; corrosion protection; coatings; waste processing; graphite electrodes; detergents; imaging and printing; solvents; consumer formulations; nanotechnology; pharmaceuticals; adhesives; fuel cells; carbon nanotubes; particle beams; micro fluidics; biotechnology and medical applications; blood chemistry, cancer markers, and molecular tagging strategies.
