DAVID E. SPAW received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Cleveland State University in 1988 and his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from the Cleveland State University in 1991. Mr. Spaw is a member of the Ohio bar and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Spaw is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Mr. Spaw has extensive experience in preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of electrical and electro-mechanical inventions. Mr. Spaw has drafted or prosecuted patent application in the following technologies: consumer appliances, e.g., washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, vacuum cleaners; outdoor power products, e.g., chainsaws, string trimmers, lawnmowers, generators, hedge trimmers; consumer electronics including cell phones; medical devices, e.g., endoscopes, implantable medical devices, hearing aides, CT-type scanners; transportation arts, e.g., automobiles, motorcycles, personal watercraft, engines, transmissions, supplemental restraints, frames, brake systems, HVAC systems, and navigation systems; conveyor systems, humanoid robots and associated control systems; optical devices, electric motors, and semiconductors devices.
