STEPHEN A. HILL received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969 and his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1974, where he was an editor for the Case Western Reserve Law Review. Mr. Hill is a member of the Ohio Bar and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Sixth Circuits, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Hill is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.
Mr. Hill has worked extensively in the fields of mechanical and electronic inventions, particularly relating to mechanical structures, fluid flow, processing systems, instrumentation and controls, and computer hardware and software. He has worked extensively on copyright protection of technology, especially computer technology and developments related to the Internet. Mr. Hill has a background in litigation and litigation support, including alternative dispute resolution, and including work testifying as an expert witness on patent law and patent prosecution. In addition to his patent and copyright work, Mr. Hill maintains an active trademark practice and has handled numerous trademark inter partes proceedings.
